How you're charged
When you send, we hold pages × 20¢ from your balance until it's delivered. You're charged once, only when the whole fax is delivered. If it ends Not delivered, Delivery not confirmed or Canceled, all of it comes back: No charge. A call already under way when you ask to cancel may still deliver the whole fax, and then it's charged.
If a call drops partway, we send the whole fax again at no cost. You're never charged for part of a fax.
No account yet? You can send one fax as a guest. You check your preview and confirm your email, then pay by card ($10 minimum). What isn't charged stays as credit on your account.
All top-ups are final: credit isn't refundable except in the few cases in our Refund Policy, such as a guest whose only fax ends "Not delivered," "Delivery not confirmed" or "Canceled." Credit never expires. It ends only if the account is closed or we stop offering the service, or if your bank reverses the payment it came from. See Refunds.
No plan. No monthly fee.
Pick how many pages you send in a month and compare.
To start, you pay at least $10 by card, the minimum top-up. What your faxes don't use stays as credit.
At 10 pages a month you would pay $9.95 less than the cheapest plan here.
dtaas.com: 20¢ per delivered page, $10 minimum top-up. Other prices are their published monthly plan rates, checked October 31, 2026; taxes and other fees aren't included. Past the pages a plan includes, its extra-page price is added: MyFax's $12.00 plan covers 100 pages, then 10¢ a page, so 120 pages cost $14.00.

What you would pay each month
dtaas.com has no plan. You pay $0.20 for each page we deliver, so what you pay follows what you actually send. Here is a month of faxing next to the monthly plans people compare us with.

When a monthly plan costs less
Honest answer: if you fax a lot, a plan wins. Counting delivered pages at $0.20, dtaas.com costs less than each plan up to:
- 59 pages a month against MetroFax Essential ($11.95 a month, 550 pages included)
- 59 pages a month against MyFax Home Office ($12.00 a month, 100 pages included)
- 74 pages a month against iFax Basic ($14.99 a month, 200 pages included)
- 94 pages a month against eFax Personal ($18.99 a month, 200 pages included)
Up to about 59 pages a month, which is a few faxes a week, dtaas.com costs less than every plan above. If you send more than that, pick a plan. If you send a few faxes a year, a plan charges you every month for a service you are not using.
What a year of faxing costs
A monthly plan charges you every month, including the months you send nothing. dtaas.com charges you only when a fax is delivered.
| Pages a month | dtaas.com | MetroFax Essential | MyFax Home Office | iFax Basic | eFax Personal |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | $24.00 (lowest) | $143.40 | $144.00 | $179.88 | $227.88 |
| 20 | $48.00 (lowest) | $143.40 | $144.00 | $179.88 | $227.88 |
| 40 | $96.00 (lowest) | $143.40 | $144.00 | $179.88 | $227.88 |
- Plans include a set number of pages; past that you pay for each extra page or move up to a bigger plan. We have no limits to watch: a page is $0.20.
- If a fax is not delivered, you pay nothing, and redials for up to 6 hours are free.
- What you add and don't use stays as credit. Credit never expires. It ends only if the account is closed or we stop offering the service, or if your bank reverses the payment it came from. There is nothing to cancel.
Monthly plan prices are each company's published month-to-month price, checked on October 31, 2026: MetroFax, MyFax, iFax, eFax. Paying a year in advance lowers these plans by up to about a third, which makes them cheaper against us at lower volumes than the numbers above. Only pages sent are counted. Taxes and other fees are not included. Prices change; check the company's page before you decide.
Pricing questions
How much does it cost to send a fax?
$0.20 per delivered page. The cover page, redials for up to 6 hours and the delivery receipt are free. A 10-page document costs $2.00.
Is there a monthly fee or subscription?
No. You add money to a prepaid balance ($10 minimum, $500 maximum per payment) and we charge 20 cents for each delivered page. What you do not use stays as credit. Top-ups are final and not refundable. Credit never expires. It ends only if the account is closed or we stop offering the service, or if your bank reverses the payment it came from.
What if my fax does not go through?
You pay nothing. When you send, we hold the cost from your balance. We charge it once, only when the whole fax is delivered. If the final status is "Not delivered," "Delivery not confirmed" or "Canceled," it all comes back and you pay nothing. Requesting cancellation does not stop a call already under way; it is charged if the whole fax is delivered.
When is a monthly fax plan cheaper than dtaas.com?
If you send a lot. At $0.20 a page, dtaas.com costs less than every monthly plan we compared up to 59 pages a month. Above that, a monthly plan costs less.
Do I need an account to send a fax?
Not for one fax. As a guest you prepare your fax and see the preview. Then we email you a link to confirm your email. After you open it, you pay by card ($10 minimum), we send your fax, and what is not charged stays as credit on your account. Credit never expires. It ends only if the account is closed or we stop offering the service, or if your bank reverses the payment it came from.
